The Daytona 500 is an annual NASCAR Cup Series race held at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is widely considered one of the most prestigious and important races in the NASCAR calendar and is sometimes referred to as the "Super Bowl of stock car racing."


The race takes place in February and is the opening event of the NASCAR Cup Series season.
