Birds Park / Birds Research Center Hambantota

Bird Park in Hambantota prides itself on being the largest Birds Park and Research Center in Asia and home to more than 180 species of birds and about 3200 birds. The park located in the southern part of the island extends over 35 hectares and is dedicated to creating awareness and interest in wildlife and the Importance of Biodiversity Conservation.

The park is divided into 5 parts namely, Wetlands, Wings of Asia, Flightless Birds, Macaw and Cockatoos, and Parrot Paradise.
